The turnover for 2018 is 285.6 million euros.
According to the latest data from the AEV, the Spanish Association of Value Analysis, the turnover of the 22 associated appraisal companies during the 2018 financial year amounted to 285.6 million euros, 0.2% more than the previous year. In total, 1,162,627 complete real estate appraisals were carried out for an appraised amount of 366,628 million euros, which represents a 7% decrease compared to the 2017 data.
Euroval, which is part of the AEV and is a member of its Board of Directors, occupies 6th place in the AEV Ranking of Appraisal Companies, has closed with a positive annual variation in its turnover of 1.9%.
These figures confirm the recovery of normal levels of activity in the sector which, after growing at a rapid pace in recent years, has stabilized and, with this, has overcome the collapse suffered during the economic crisis. Part of the year's result is also explained as a consequence of the ups and downs experienced by the mortgage market, especially in the second half of the year, as a result of political instability, the process of processing and approval of the Real Estate Credit Contracts Law, and the issuance of court rulings regarding the payment of incorporation expenses. Likewise, the cleanup of bank balance sheets, which has materialized through the massive sale of real estate asset portfolios (thereby eliminating the obligation to appraise them annually), has also had a certain impact on the volumes of appraisals carried out.

The number of appraisals of homes for mortgage guarantee purposes is up 6.7% compared to the previous period.
Despite all this, the 6.7% increase in the number of home valuations carried out for mortgage purposes is noteworthy: between single-family and multi-family homes, around 26,000 more units have been appraised than in 2017, which is consistent with the slow but persistent recovery of the real estate market.
For its part, the number of appraisals issued for mortgage guarantee purposes (encompassing all possible uses, in addition to residential) does not change compared to those carried out in 2017, although it grows by 16% in appraised amount.
Likewise, the increase in the number of appraisals carried out for Real Estate Collective Investment Institutions (which include SOCIMIs) is striking, multiplying by 5 compared to the 2017 financial year, with some 7,800 more elements appraised among all uses and, specifically, almost 3,000 more homes, which reveals the increasingly important role of this type of actor in the real estate market.

Extremadura and Madrid are the two communities that most increased (+10%) the number of home appraisals, while Catalonia fell by 7%.
With regard to the regional distribution of home appraisals, 10 of the 17 autonomous communities (Aragon, Asturias, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Extremadura, La Rioja, Madrid, Navarra and the Basque Country) have increased the number of valuations by between 0.1% and 10.9%, with Extremadura being the region that has experienced the greatest increase. Although the group of municipalities of Madrid and Barcelona have grown by 7%, Catalonia has suffered a decrease of 7.2% and the Community of Madrid an increase of 10.5%. Home appraisals carried out in Spanish municipalities with more than 500,000 inhabitants have grown by 5%, while smaller towns have experienced a decrease of around 6% compared to the previous year.
Ranking of the AEV appraisal companies
More than half of the appraisal companies represented by the AEV have experienced growth in terms of turnover, with an annual variation of +0.2% as a whole. In terms of economic figures, this is the ranking of the 22 appraisal companies that make up the Association:
