Energy Audits
What are they?
An energy audit consists of carrying out a complete study of a building, its physical characteristics, its use, as well as its installations, in order to obtain objective information on the energy consumed by it.
In short, this analysis collects the energy behavior of the building with the aim of identifying areas for improvement and proposing alternatives to consume less and more efficiently, with the consequent economic savings and reduction of environmental impact.
What are they for?
An energy audit allows you to know the situation of a building with respect to the following points:
- The energy consumption it makes.
- The energy cost of its products or services.
- The state of its facilities and the appropriate or inappropriate use it makes of them.
- The energy, economic and environmental performance associated with the building.
- The opportunities for energy and economic improvement.
By knowing the state of your energy situation, an energy audit allows you to improve its efficiency and reduce energy consumption. This involves a number of benefits:
- It allows for economic savings derived from the reduction of energy consumption and the improvement of energy efficiency.
- It reduces the carbon footprint and minimizes environmental impact.
- It allows to detect inefficiencies or technical negligence in time.
- It helps to obtain the energy certificate of a building.
- It reinforces the image of the building and its owner, especially if it is a company, due to the environmental commitment that these changes entail.
