Where should I request it? <\/h2>\n<p>On the other hand, it is always a good idea to check that the digitization of our cadastral reference is correct by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sedecatastro.gob.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>visiting the website of the Electronic Cadastre Office online<\/strong><\/a>. This may be normal and common since some homes may have one administrative address and another for correspondence; especially if the information has been provided to us by the owner of the house via telephone or email. <\/p>\n<h2>Common errors when requesting the cadastral reference in the Electronic Office<\/h2>\n<p>When entering the numbering of our cadastral reference in the Office, we must check carefully that we are not mistaken when interpreting them correctly. For example: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not confuse an O with a zero.<\/li>\n<li>The last 4 digits of the cadastral reference correspond to the housing or local unit; the previous 16 define the entire building where it is located.<\/li>\n<li>The reference is 20 digits. Some old IBI receipts or those with a small receipt format may not reflect all of them correctly, so it will be necessary to ask at the Town Hall. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>You can request it by telephone<\/h2>\n<p>Through a phone call to the number <a href=\"tel:902%2037%2036%2035\">902 37 36 35<\/a> or <a href=\"tel:91%20387%2045%2050\">91 387 45 50<\/a> at the General Directorate of the Cadastre, you can request the cadastral reference of a home. They will require the exact address you want to verify and the data of the owner and proprietor of the property. <\/p>\n<h2>Town Hall and Provincial Councils<\/h2>\n<p>The Town Halls and Provincial Councils have a cadastral information office; however, they will not always assist you by telephone. If you want to get the cadastral reference quickly, we recommend that you go to these offices.  <\/p>\n<h2>Infractions for lack of requirements<\/h2>\n<p>In the event that you want the cadastral reference to sell a home and you do not provide the necessary documentation within the deadlines established by the Public Administration, you will be incurring an <strong>infraction that may range between \u20ac60 and \u20ac6,000<\/strong>.
