It's the news of the summer and recent months: \u201cElectricity is rising again and marking a historic record,\u201d and so on every day for weeks. Paying the electricity bill has become a luxury. That's why I think what I'm about to tell you is important and necessary: how you can pay less for electricity each month and save on your electricity bill. I'll give you some effective and efficient tips. <\/p>\n

I will give you several tips that are useful and will allow you to save a few euros on that electricity bill that has scared us so much for some time. This way, you will pay less until we have a different outlook in Spain regarding the energy issue. <\/p>\n

Because the medium- to long-term goal is for Spain to be able to not depend on the outside for electricity supply, which is not currently the case. <\/p>\n

Measures to save on the electricity bill<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Consider schedules and create daily routines<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is something we are not yet used to, but it is essential to take it into account: electricity consumption schedules<\/strong>. There are peak hours and off-peak hours; in the former, consuming electricity is more expensive due to the high general electrical demand. There are also intermediate hours. On the other hand, electricity is cheaper during off-peak hours.
So, to save a little on the bill, you just need to be clear about those schedules and create daily and weekly routines for certain electrical tasks.<\/p>\n

Peak hours, the most expensive hours:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00 are the most expensive hours that you should avoid.<\/p>\n

Off-peak hours, the cheapest:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Monday to Friday from 0:00 to 8:00
Weekends and holidays.<\/p>\n

Flat hours, an average price:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Monday to Friday: from 8:00 to 10:00, from 14:00 to 18:00 and from 22:00 to 24:00 hours.<\/p>\n

Well, having these schedules clear, all that remains is for you to make some routines and a schedule according to these time slots.
Taking into account that the cheapest hours are weekends and holidays and nighttime hours.
You can consider setting washing machines and dishwashers to run at night so that you can hang up the clothes or collect the clean dishes and cutlery when you get up.<\/p>\n

Also, use weekends and holidays to do tasks such as ironing, vacuuming, doing the week's laundry, etc. It's all a matter of adapting to the time slots. <\/p>\n

Create low consumption habits<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are many habits that we have acquired that involve an extra expense of electricity. Some of them have to do with small appliances that do not consume much electrical energy, but added together over a month, they can mean a good amount of money. <\/p>\n

For example, turning off the lights when leaving rooms, unplugging the router or television when we leave the house, and other small appliances that are usually left plugged in for hours without using them.

In this sense, good measures would be to install PVC windows or a SATE system on the facade<\/a>, today two of the systems that allow greater energy savings at these points.<\/strong><\/p>\n
